Community Book Exchange

Rossi’s Pizza and Family Sports Bar in San Marcos, CA opened a community book exchange to offer another level of community building and engagement.
The popular neighborhood restaurant has been a staple known to provide delicious food in a family-friendly environment with arcade games that’s also a local sports bar. For years numerous sports teams, clubs, schools, corporate and non-profit organizations have used Rossi’s Family Sports Bar to host their events given its casual and inviting space.
It felt like a natural step for the owners to set up a book exchange given the variety of customers that enter their doors. Plus, there’s something about trading paper books that provides the nostalgia of a pre-digital world.
“It is both an honor and a responsibility to engage with and support our local community which we’ve been doing for more than three decades,” says Owner Marshall Bryer. “The book exchange is another way that we can enrich the lives of those in our neighborhoods.”
The book exchange works on a ‘take one, give one’ system and is free of charge. However, donations are accepted and all that are collected will be distributed to the San Marcos Library.
